RCMC personnel have initiated or have been involved in and led significant projects to change the way that companies and whole industries operate.  Examples of this experience includes the re-engineering of the international division of Amerada Hess, guiding the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) through its transition. From being a world class science led organisation at the forefront of the first pioneering efforts to build the UK’s nuclear deterrent and the harnessing of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes. It was challenged to become a world class nuclear decommissioning owner/ operator.  This necessitated massive cultural change and a complete change in direction and purpose. 

The early 90’s brought the necessity for another huge cultural change. This time is was the UK oil & gas industry. From a boom industry used to windfall profits and being a contributor of huge tax payments to the UK exchequer, it was suddenly facing a new and bleak future. It required a different approach to survive.  Modern management and dramatic cost savings were brought about through the CRINE initiative:
