CRINE

Cost Reduction Initiative for the New Era

In the early 90’s, oil price dropped from $35/bl to $12/bl Oil exploitation in the North Sea uneconomic.

Under the leadership of Rex Gaisford, platform operators, contractors and suppliers formed the CRINE. to find ways of reducing or eliminating non-productive activity in the oil-field development industry.

The CRINE recommendations were a revolutionary prescription.
